Involvement

Let’s Get Involved!

St. Stephen’s has many ways for parishioners to engage in parish life. To become involved in any of the following events or committees, please get in contact with us.

Fellowship Hour

Fellowship hour is held most Sundays after the 11 am service to socialize over light refreshments in the garden. For more information, please contact our Parish Office at arucker@ststephenschs.com.

Foyer Groups

Foyer Groups are dinner groups of eight to ten members that share meals regularly throughout the year.  These small groups help members get to know one another better.

Stay tuned for updates.

Ladies’ Potluck

Ladies’ Potluck dinners are held monthly at different member’s homes for the women of the church to gather in camaraderie. For more information, please contact Holly Blanchard at hollybmom@gmail.com.

The Welcome and New Member Committee

The Welcome and New Member Committee are parishioners who greet and welcome visitors at the church entrance before the 11am service. They also host new member gatherings. For more information, please contact Susan Roehrich at susan.roehrich@gmail.com.

Caring Ministry

The Caring Ministry provides support to church members who are experiencing changes in their daily life due to illness, the birth of a child, the death of a loved one or some other reason. This support can be in the form of meals, flower arrangements or visits. For more information, please email Rev. Courtney Davis-Shoemaker at cdavisshoemaker@ststephenschs.com.

Building and Grounds Committee

The building and grounds committee is a way for those with green thumbs to contribute to the parish.  Clean up and re-planting days take place in the fall and spring. Some members contribute with minor building repairs as well. For more information, please contact Lina Nandy at lnt8039@gmail.com.

The Prayer Team

For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them,“ Matthew 18:20.

Members of the St. Stephen’s prayer team attend the prayer station each Sunday at the 11:00 am service. Individuals are invited to come forward to the prayer station to share their prayer needs and to pray with two prayer members. For more information, please contact Mary Burkett at mhbinsc@gmail.com.

The Needlepoint Guild

Members of this guild help create needlepoint designs to be upholstered onto a kneeler. For more information, please contact Jane Clary at claryj@cofc.edu.

There are so many ways for children, youth and families to get involved at St. Stephen’s. For more information on upcoming opportunities, or if you would like to receive the Family Ministry email newsletters, please contact Rev. Laura Rezac at lrezac@ststephenschs.com.
